Zats Burger Cafe
I found this place by accident walking home from Nakano station to my place. It claims it's the first burger joint in Japan from 1951.
I didn't go the first time I saw it as I was just on the way home from some cheap and not bad Chinese restaurant near the station but last weekend we checked it out and it's pretty good! If you want an American size burger get the jumbo, around 1200yen and pig out.
This particular one was really small. Room for only about 8 people. But it turns out there is one closer to the station that is larger. You can find it on the link below. Also, while I was looking to see if they had a homepage I found a page that lists a lot of affiliated burger joints. Looks like we have more places to check out.
